American Football

American Football is a team sport played primarily in the United States, characterized by two teams of eleven players each competing to advance an oval-shaped ball into the opposing team’s end zone to score points. The game is played on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. Points can be scored in several ways: a touchdown (6 points), which occurs when a player carries the ball into the opponent’s end zone, a field goal (3 points), which is scored by kicking the ball through the opponent’s goalposts, and a safety (2 points), awarded when the defensive team tackles an offensive player with the ball in their own end zone. The game consists of four quarters, and teams can use a variety of offensive and defensive strategies to gain an advantage. American Football is known for its physical contact, strategic gameplay, and is one of the most popular sports in the U.S., culminating in the annual championship game known as the Super Bowl.
