Premier League

The Premier League is the top tier of professional football in England. It was founded in 1992 when clubs in the Football League First Division broke away from the Football League to establish their own competition. The league operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football League (EFL) Championship. It consists of 20 teams that compete against each other in a round-robin format, with each team playing 38 matches in a season, typically spanning from August to May.

Teams earn three points for a win, one point for a draw, and no points for a loss. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. Additionally, the bottom three teams are relegated to the EFL Championship, while the top teams from the Championship are promoted to the Premier League. The Premier League is renowned for its competitiveness, global popularity, and has a significant economic impact on football worldwide, attracting top players and managers from around the globe.
