Football

Football is a team sport played with a spherical ball by two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing team’s goal, which is typically situated at either end of a rectangular field known as a pitch. Players primarily use their feet to kick the ball, but they can also use other parts of their body, except their arms and hands, to control the ball.

Football is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, established by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). The most widely recognized form of football is association football, commonly referred to as soccer in some countries, which is governed internationally by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association).

Football is one of the world’s most popular sports, with a massive global following, and it encompasses various levels of play, from amateur to professional, including international competitions such as the FIFA World Cup. The sport emphasizes teamwork, skill, strategy, and physical fitness, and has a significant cultural impact in many nations.
