Climate Change

Climate change refers to significant and lasting changes in the average temperature and weather patterns of the Earth over extended periods, typically decades to millions of years. It encompasses both natural processes and anthropogenic (human-caused) activities that lead to alterations in global climate systems. The most pressing concern today is the rapid climate change driven by the increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, primarily due to burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes. This results in global warming, rising sea levels, increased frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, and disruptions to ecosystems and biodiversity. Climate change has wide-ranging effects on human health, agriculture, water supply, and infrastructure, making it a critical issue that requires global awareness and action.
