Wildfires

Wildfires are uncontrolled fires that occur in natural areas such as forests, grasslands, or prairies. They can be caused by natural factors, such as lightning, or human activities, including discarded cigarettes, campfires, or arson. Wildfires can spread rapidly, fueled by dry vegetation, wind, and other environmental conditions, leading to significant destruction of ecosystems, wildlife habitats, and human structures. They can also pose serious risks to human safety and health due to smoke and air pollution. Wildfires are a natural part of some ecosystems, playing a role in nutrient cycling and promoting the growth of certain plant species; however, their increasing frequency and intensity, often exacerbated by climate change and land management practices, raise concerns about environmental and public safety.
